Still life and Nudes
Several series on the nude figure were ongoing projects with the most extensive research aimed at solarized nudes in the 1970s. Doren considered the Solarized Nudes to be his most ceative work. The idealism of the classic figure and the purity of being without clothes were topics included in Doren's writings.
In the 1980s he began a long series on flowers in unique vases purchased a flea markets.
Doren's solarized nude series involved friends both male and female who usually posed at home. Long hours were dedicated to solarizing the prints for maximum contrast.
